Since the 20th of January 2019, the YMCA Cameroon is hosting an important event for the young YMCA members. That seminar also known as Y-GLOCAL seminar, takes place at the Le Quai D’Orsay hotel, Simbock – Yaoundé. The program has been created by 3 YMCA countries: Cameroon, South Africa and YMCA/YWCA Denmark.

One of the objectives of this triangular partnership is to train young people to give continuity to the Christian movement in order to reinforce its goals. At the same time, the program has the aim of providing the benefit of cultural exchange between the young participants, whereby they get to know different approaches to problem solving and learn from each other.

The Y-GLOCAL seminar counts with 14 participants from Cameroon, 6 participants from South Africa and 9 participants from Denmark. This program offers an opportunity of cultural encounters, which is often unaffordable for most of the participants.

Until the present time, the event that will end on Saturday 26th of January, has been received with much enthusiasm by all the people involved. The young people make a light and vibrant environment. During the meetings, the participants of each country had the opportunity to show their cultural traditions, traditional songs, regional dances, plays and experiment the Cameroonian cuisine.
